Delete your EvenSide account
You can delete your EvenSide account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
1. From the app (fastest)
- Open EvenSide and go to More → Settings.
- Under Danger zone, choose Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion in 7 days.
The 7-day window is a safety net: if you change your mind, simply sign in again within those 7 days and tap Cancel deletion. After 7 days the deletion runs automatically and is irreversible.
2. By email
If you can no longer access the app, email privacy@evenside.gg from the address associated with your account (or include the phone number you sign in with, so we can verify it’s you). We action verified deletion requests within 30 days, as required by UK GDPR.
If you have money in flight
Deletion is temporarily blocked while you have unfinished financial activity — for example an organiser payout being processed, a paid spot on a match that hasn’t settled yet, or a refund still owed to you. The app shows you exactly which match is blocking deletion. Once it settles (or you leave the match), deletion proceeds normally.
What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted: your profile (name, username, bio, avatar and avatar history), phone number and sign-in credentials, friend connections, support conversations, match participation records, push-notification tokens, and analytics identifiers.
Anonymised: messages you sent in match or group chats are not removed from other people’s conversations, but they are permanently disconnected from you — once your profile is deleted, nothing links them to your identity.
Retained: records we are legally required to keep — primarily payment and accounting records (kept in a form no longer linked to a usable profile) for the periods required by UK tax and financial law, and safety records where retention is required by law.
