Complain about your data

Last Updated: 17 September 2026

If you think EvenSide has handled your personal data badly — got something wrong, shared it when it should not have, ignored a request, or kept it longer than it should — you can complain to us directly. This page is how.

You can also complain to the regulator instead, or as well, and at any point. You never have to come to us first.

Complain using the form

Fill this in and it reaches the person who deals with data complaints at EvenSide. You do not need an account, and you do not need to have used the app.

This is where we send the acknowledgement and the reply.

We use what you write here only to investigate and answer your complaint, and we keep the record afterwards because we have to be able to show that we answered it.

Or use any other route you prefer

A complaint counts whichever way it reaches us. All of these work:

  • Email: privacy@evenside.gg
  • In the app: More → Help → raise a ticket, and say it is a data complaint.
  • By post: Data Complaints, EVENSIDE.GG LIMITED, 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

You do not have to use the word “complaint”, quote any law, or fill anything in a particular way. If you tell us you are unhappy with what we did with your data, that is a complaint and we treat it as one.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge it. Within 30 days at the very latest, and normally within a couple of days.
  • We look into it properly and reply without undue delay. If it is complicated and will take longer, we tell you that rather than going quiet.
  • We tell you what we found and what we have done — or why we disagree.

If you gave us an email address, that is where the reply goes. If you complained by post and we have no other way to reach you, we reply by post.

What we do with what you tell us

We use it to investigate and answer your complaint, and nothing else. We keep the record afterwards because we have to be able to show that a complaint was made and answered — see the Privacy Policy for how long we keep things and what your rights are.

Complaining to the regulator

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) regulates data protection in the UK. You can complain to them at any time, whether or not you have complained to us, and whether or not you are happy with our answer:

Information Commissioner’s Office
Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF
